Alyssa Kaitlyn Downer
Alyssa Kaitlyn Downer, 10 month old daughter of Amy Autrey of Upper Browns Creek and Alex Downer of the Jack’s Creek Community, went home to be with the Angels on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her home on Upper Browns Creek.
In addition her parents, Katie is survived by her sister, Hannah Downer of the home; maternal grandparents: Rev. Glen and Judy Autrey of South Toe; paternal grandparents: Kim and Julie Downer of Buladean; maternal great-grandparents, Ruth Autrey of Seven Mile Ridge and Dozena Carroll of Marion; paternal great-grandparents: Beatrice Downer of Burnsville and Marilyn Cornell of Little Switzerland; aunts: Lori Robinson and husband, Kevin, of Bakersville and Serena Downer of Buladean. Several other cousins and great aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Tuesday July 8 in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Services with the Rev. Ronnie Gouge officiating. The family will recive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Glen and Judy Autrey 225 White Oak Road. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery on Seven Mile Ridge. Yancey Funeral Services is serving the Autrey and Downer families.
